World Boss Event: Level Requirement, Rewards and Trading Rules | Metin2 PvP, Metin2 Private Server

There is no level requirement to participate in the World Boss event. There is no set minimum level requirement for the event; the only determining factor is the damage you deal to the boss. To receive a reward, you must deal at least 250,000 damage to the boss, and rewards are distributed in proportion to the damage dealt to the monster. All the rewards you earn can be traded and exchanged; the only exception is the TC Voucher (Tiger Coins) reward.

In Drago2, the World Boss is a continuous event, meaning there is no fixed start time. This is also the content that attracts the most questions amongst Metin2 private server events: when does the boss spawn, how are the rewards shared, and why is the damage reset? Below, you will find details on the cycle, the damage threshold, rank loot, the reward collection time and the daily quest, one by one.

    Level Requirement and Participation Conditions

There is no minimum level requirement for the World Boss. As characters do not start from scratch on the server, this requirement is, in practice, unnecessary: you start the game directly at level 70, and the level cap is 110. It doesn’t take long to level up; using the ‘Snake Valley’ option on the Teleportation Ring (Contraction Zone), you can reach level 110 in an average of 7-8 minutes.

The Level 60 warning encountered during forum registration is not related to the event; this warning is only displayed when attempting to log in to the forum using a game account.

There is, however, a limit on the number of participants. Rewards up to Rank III in the World Boss event are limited to 25 players. Rank IV is open to up to 999 players, and at this tier, only the Silver Bar (10M) can be obtained. Most events on the server do not have such a quota; the limit applies to only two events, one of which is the World Boss.

When and on Which Map Does the Boss Spawn?

The World Boss is an ongoing daily event. There is no fixed event time, so rather than checking the calendar for a specific time, you should keep an eye on in-game announcements and the Event Window. You can open the window via the event button next to the mini-map or using the CTRL+E shortcut.

The cycle lasts a total of 6 hours: a 4-hour cooldown, followed by a 2-hour battle window. The cooldown period does not start when the boss is defeated, but at the end of the battle window. This means that defeating the boss quickly will not bring forward the next boss. When the cooldown ends, an announcement will appear stating that the world boss is about to spawn, and the boss will spawn at a random time within this 2-hour window. The boss does not spawn during the final 30 minutes of the window; the spawn always occurs within the first 90 minutes.

The boss appears in one of four maps: Seuryong Valley, Doyum-hwan, Yongbi Desert or Sohan Mountain. The spawn announcement displays the channel, the boss’s name and the region; a private chat message is also sent. Announcements are also made when the boss is attacked for the first time and when it is defeated.

One of six bosses appears in the event: W: Polyphemos, W: Dragon Watcher Idall, W: Bagjanamu, W: Yellow Tiger Ghost, W: The Great Ogre, W: Azrael. All six have the same defence and power; only their abilities may differ. When the event begins, you’ll receive an event invitation notification. If you miss the notification, you can receive a new one by teleporting to a location using the Teleportation Ring or by switching characters.

If the boss battle window is not closed before it ends, the boss will flee and disappear from the map. No ranking will be established for a fleeing boss; no one can receive a ranking reward, and the damage you dealt to that boss will not count towards the reward.

    Event Interface and Total Damage

During the World Boss event, three pieces of information appear on the event interface:

    • Battle Duration: shows the time elapsed since the boss spawned.
    • Cooldown: Shows the time remaining until the boss respawns.
    • Total Damage: Shows the total damage you have dealt to the boss without leaving the map.

Total Damage is the value that determines your rank. The definition of this field is clear: only damage dealt whilst remaining on the map counts. A player who changes maps has their accumulated damage reset and must start accumulating the 250,000 threshold from scratch. This is the most common reason for complaints about not receiving rewards, so you must not leave the map until the boss has been defeated.

Once the boss has spawned, it does not remain on the map for a fixed duration; the battle timer is the determining factor. The battle lasts for 2 hours; for example, if the boss spawns at the 25-minute mark, it will remain on the map for 1 hour and 35 minutes.

    Reward Threshold and Damage-Based Distribution

Rewards are distributed in proportion to the damage dealt to the monster. You’ll be placed in a percentage-based rank order based on your total damage, and there may be more than one player in each rank.

To qualify for a reward, you must:

    • Deal at least 250,000 damage to the Boss. If your damage exactly matches the threshold, you will not enter the ranking; you must exceed it.
    • You must be in the game and on the same map as the boss at the moment it is defeated. If you are on a different map or not in the game when the boss is defeated, you will not qualify for a reward, even if you had previously dealt damage.

Exceeding the 250,000 threshold also unlocks the daily quest reward.

    Rank Loot

The table below shows the loot distributed across the World Boss ranks. Rewards up to Rank III are limited to 25 players; Rank IV is open to up to 999 players, and only a Silver Bar (10M) is awarded there.

Additionally, when the boss is defeated, 1.9 billion Yang drops onto the map.

Claiming the Reward and Rank Bonus

The rank reward does not automatically appear in your inventory. After the Boss is defeated, you must claim it by clicking the reward button in the World Boss window. The reward can only be claimed once per Boss.

There is a time limit for claiming the reward: you can claim it from the moment the boss is defeated until the warning that the next World Boss is about to appear. After the warning, the button will state that you can no longer claim the reward; when a new boss spawns, the previous ranking is reset and any unclaimed rewards are lost. Therefore, delaying clicking the reward button will result in an immediate loss.

The bonus effects from rank rewards do not stack. When you receive a new rank reward, the previous rank bonus is removed and replaced by the new one for its full duration. Even if your new rank is lower than the previous one, the old, stronger bonus is lost.

    Trading and Exchanging Rewards

All the rewards you earn from the World Boss event can be traded and exchanged in the game. The only exception is the TC Voucher (Tiger Coins) reward: this voucher cannot be traded or exchanged.

The World Boss Chest can be traded as well; you can exchange it with other players.

‘Defeat the World Boss!’ Daily Quest

There is a quest that grants a daily bonus effect to players who deal sufficient damage to the World Boss. You do not need to go to an NPC for the quest: it appears as a quest letter titled ‘Defeat the World Boss!’ at the edge of the screen. Clicking on the letter opens the quest window.

The condition is a single sentence: deal at least the specified amount of damage to a World Boss. The minimum damage required is displayed as a number on the screen. There are no level, Yang, item, rank or guild requirements.

    How it works:

    1. The quest letter arrives whilst the event is active and your cooldown has expired.
    2. When you click on the letter, the game compares the total damage you have dealt to World Bosses at that moment with the minimum required damage.
    3. If the damage is sufficient, the quest is completed in the same window.
    4. If the damage is insufficient, the quest remains active; you can deal more damage to the boss and click the letter again. No error message will appear on screen; simply, the second page will not open.

The reward is not an item: it is a +10 Critical Hit bonus lasting 24 hours. Once the reward is claimed, the quest letter is deleted and a 12-hour cooldown begins. This bonus is separate from the rank reward; it is not deleted when you receive the rank reward.

The quest is only available during event periods. You will not receive the quest letter when the World Boss event is not active, and any active quest will close.

    Monster Hunt Activity Points

World Boss monsters grant 10 points towards the Monster Hunt activity points. The Dominance Conflict monsters, Dragon King Exedyar and Dragon King Ruilith, grant 20 points.

Every activity you complete earns you activity points, and these points unlock rank tiers; there are 18 tiers in total, ranging from Bronze I to the Ruby Badge. Some content requires a rank rather than a level, so participating regularly in the World Boss not only yields loot but also helps you progress through the ranks.

What to Do If the Reward Hasn’t Arrived

First, check the requirements: did you deal at least 250,000 damage, and were you on the same map when the boss was defeated? If you changed maps, your Total Damage accumulation will have been reset.

Then check your inventory. The game cannot award rewards if your inventory is full, so make sure you free up space in your inventory and storage before joining the event.

Rank loot does not drop into your inventory; it is sent via the Mailbox. The Mailbox NPCs are located at Yongan, Joan, Pyungmoo and Dragon’s Eye Castle; click on the NPC and select the ‘Open Mailbox’ option. Rewards in the mailbox may disappear if not collected within the mail retention period, so be sure to empty your mailbox regularly.

If the server crashes during the event, rewards will be compensated. If the problem persists, log in to the site and use the Ticket (Support) system, or email [email protected]. Don’t forget to include your character name, the name of the event, and the date and time of the incident.
